☕ LAVERNE COX SAID THE RAPPERS BEEN IN HER FACE

Laverne Cox just dropped a little tea on Keke Palmer's podcast that had me sitting up.

Laverne says two very famous rappers tried to get at her earlier in her career. She didn't name either man, but said one was openly flirting whenever they crossed paths, while another came at her HARD and asked for her number. Laverne ultimately decided she wasn't about to become anybody's DL situation.

TAE SAYS: Now Laverne... you can't throw two rocks through the window and then hide your hands. WHO WERE THE RAPPERS?! Because somewhere right now two men are scrolling through old calendars sweating.

Brandy's daughter Sy'Rai Smith got the internet talking after saying she's a fan of Baddies and teasing the idea of appearing on the show. The response from fans was basically one big collective:

Meanwhile, Sy'Rai is launching her own music career with her debut EP Cold War, so sis already has something going for herself.

☕GLO & SEXYY RED GOT THE INTERNET TALKING AGAIN

GloRilla previewed "Jiggly Bow Bow," featuring Sexyy Red, and social media immediately started cutting up.

The preview is heavy on ass-shaking, the hook is exactly as subtle as a brick through somebody's window, and reactions started rolling in almost immediately.

TAE SAYS: I don't know what a Jiggly Bow Bow is yet, but apparently my ass is supposed to be moving while I figure it out.

☕ BADDIES USA: EVERYBODY JUST FIGHT EVERYBODY AT THIS POINT

Baddies USA Episode 16 apparently said fuck a peaceful outing.

The latest recap has Kinaya and Tavi going at it, Hurricane and Neek running it back, Kinaya getting into it with Erica and Lexi Gold, plus Ciroc and Bahati drama.

TAE SAYS: At this point Zeus needs to stop pretending these women are going anywhere.

Just put 25 folding chairs in a warehouse, turn the cameras on and yell:

"WHO GOT A PROBLEM?"

☕ MELODY SHARI MIGHT BE HEADED TO RHOA

Now THIS could be good.

Former Love & Marriage: Huntsville star Melody Shari dropped a flashy arrival video right as Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 18 was reportedly preparing to start filming. Melody now lives in Atlanta, and the timing has people wondering whether she's about to grab herself a peach.

TAE SAYS: Give that woman the peach.

Melody knows how to argue without sounding like she just learned the word "bitch" yesterday.

☕ RAVEN BAXTER WAS BLACK. WHY ARE WE EVEN HAVING THIS MEETING?

Kalen Allen is catching heat after an old conversation with Raven-Symoné resurfaced where Raven questioned why people considered Raven Baxter specifically Black beyond the family's skin color.

Kalen has now made his position VERY clear: Raven Baxter was Black AF. He also admitted he should've pushed Raven harder during the original conversation.

TAE SAYS: Thank you.

Because Raven Baxter had a Black mama, Black daddy, Black brother, Black household and spent four seasons making facial expressions every Black child used when their mama called their FULL government name.

☕ JOSELINE'S DAUGHTER JUST DROPPED SOME SERIOUS FAMILY TEA

This one isn't funny.

On Joseline Hernandez's The Grandma Is the Baby, Bonnie Bella alleged that during a childhood visit with her father Stevie J, Faith Evans' son Ryder once grabbed her, carried her outside and put her into a trash can. Bonnie said Stevie later found her crying. The episode did not include Ryder's account of what allegedly happened.

TAE SAYS: That's a hell of a family story for a child to carry. Hopefully everybody involved handled that situation privately long before it became television content.

☕ SIDNEY STARR IS STILL BEHIND BARS

Reality personality Sidney Starr remains jailed after a judge denied her bond in a felony case involving allegations of sexual contact with a 13-year-old boy.

Her manager says Sidney is frightened for her safety and struggling emotionally in jail. Sidney's camp maintains her innocence, and her attorney is contesting the charges. She has not been convicted.

TAE SAYS: This ain't regular reality-TV mess, so I'm leaving the jokes at home. Those allegations are extremely serious. Let the evidence and the court handle this one.

☕CHRIS BROWN SAID KEEP YOUR WIFE, SIR

During Chris Brown's show, a male fan apparently tried to volunteer his own wife for Chris' infamous "Take You Down" stage moment.

Chris shut that shit DOWN.

His answer?

Essentially: Hell nah.

TAE SAYS: Imagine taking your wife to a Chris Brown concert and YOU'RE the one trying to get her recruited.

Threads officially launched Black Threads as a recognized community after Black users spent years organically building around the tag. People immediately started celebrating, doing roll calls and—as expected—laying down unofficial rules about who better NOT get invited to the cookout.

TAE SAYS: Black folks finally got our own official room and we're already at the door checking the guest list.

As we should.

Because y'all give out cookout invitations entirely too damn easily.

🏳️‍🌈 ATLANTA BLACK PRIDE IS OUTSIDE

Atlanta Black Pride kicked off today and runs through Labor Day, marking its 20th anniversary with nearly a week of events celebrating Black LGBTQ+ culture and community. Saucy Santana is scheduled to perform during Sunday's Pure Heat Community Festival.

There's also a conversation happening during Pride around the relationship between Black women and Black gay and queer men, including the influence they've had on one another in entertainment, fashion, language and culture.
